Does The Bible Define ‘True’ Christianity?

Many people call themselves ‘christian’ but the Bible never accepts such self-identification. Jesus summarises it:

Do their life, actions and effects match up?

Do they evidence these


or these


Not everyone who says they believe in God is actually following Him and the Bible never equates belief with obedience.


This old testament verse is as true now as it was then:


People can stand in the pews, singing praises but deny them with their lives. Jesus said:


So obedience is evidence that someone is a Christian. Christianity changes people’s lives. Being a Christian can be costly, counter-cultural and self-denying. Many people say they admire the teachings of Jesus but doing them is a different matter.
