What Does The Bible Say About How God Works?

The Bible has God in control but Christians are His agents. If people are starving, it is our responsibility to sort it out.

We are supposed to be preventing wars -

- eliminating poverty, 

Yes, we pray to God to help with this but He is not going to wave a magic wand for it to happen, Christians are his workers to carry out His work in the world.

As previous, being religious means having rituals and requirements to comply with so that you will achieve success. Christianity has none of these. It has no such route to achieving success. It is a relationship between you and God in which He grants you ‘success’ as you could never earn it. 

Those ‘works’ are success for the Christian even though the world may not recognise them as success.
